Scholarship Winner Updates

The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Knox County has awarded $14,000 in scholarships for the year 2018-19. Scholarship recipients are Mary Harris, Amanda Miglin, Kendal Nininger, Jessica Sutton, Seth Lawhorn, Lauren Keaton, Caitlyn Miconi, Zachary Thompson, Makenzie Thorpe, and Melissa Mickley.

 

Harris of Mount Vernon is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and the daughter of Bill and Barbara Harris. She will be a pre-med major.

Miglin of Mount Vernon is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and the daughter of Susan and Scott Miglin. She will be majoring in bio-chemistry.

Nininger of Centerburg is a graduate of Centerburg High School and the daughter of Jason and Jennifer Nininger. She will be a pre-law major.

Sutton of Sunbury is a graduate of Centerburg High School and the daughter of Howard and Jackie Sutton. Her emphasis will be exploratory.

Lawhorn of Mount Vernon is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and the son of Sara Lawhorn and Ryan Rupp. He will be majoring in Chemical Engineering and Computer Science.

Keaton of Mount Vernon is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and the daughter of Cameron and Christine Keaton. She will pursue a healthcare degree.

Miconi of Centerburg is a graduate of Centerburg High School and the daughter of Tammy Miconi and George Miconi. She will be majoring in veterinary medicine.

Thompson of Mount Vernon is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and the son of Howard and Andrea Thompson. He will be a pre-med major.

Thorpe will be a senior at OSU in pre-med. She is interested in dermatology. She is the daughter of Angie Thorpe.

Mickley will be a junior in pharmacy at OSU. She is the daughter of Duane and Sheryl Mickley.

 

The scholarships are merit based and awarded annually to entering students and current students. Applications are taken in January. The club has a long history of assisting students, contact us for more information.
